...aaaand the good doctor has immediately catapulted himself into the position of my favorite character in this drama. If I had to gamble, my money is on the Walking Dead twist: they're all already infected, but the Flurj are becoming a victim of their own success. Factions are developing among the parasites, putting the infected at odds with each other with a whole second layer of intrigue playing out between both the Rionites and the parasites infecting them. Either way, I expect that my thickest helmet, specially retrieved for this mission, may soon be propelled away from my head at great velocity accompanied by numerous fragments of my braincase. Looking forwards to Friday!

It is hard not to see Stephen Fry in televised role of "Dr" Kwak :)

I blame a lack of adequate sleep for this, but:

Kwak studied Rion Flurj brain chemistry. For which he received an award, was the 'mistake' that this research got recognition and is now in the open?

A diced catterpillar (if I heard that right) does indeed lack awareness and understanding, being deceased and all, but a butterfly on the other hand retains some memories from when it was a catterpillar. Even after turning into goopy mush inside a cocoon. It's very neat. But the Flurj is a parasite, not the next stage for the Rions, right?

And don't the Rions have a technology to just scan their heads to see what's inside? And what exactly happens to a Flurj after it hatches from a brain case?

Are the vitamins and the other pills they take like the tapeworm diet pills from the victorian era?

Anyway, personally I think everyone mentioned should either be isolated and observed, or dissected. For safety and research.

I want to say the Doctor is the Flurj spy... but that also seems way too obvious... where's the rub?

Funny how the doctor’s name sounds like quack ;)

But he’s too obvious to be the spy unless you’re hoping we’ll overthink ourselves!

I voted Tann for multiple reasons. Got some evidence, tho there’s some for everyone so far! But mainly, I want Tann to be the Flurj spy cuz I want a moment of understanding before hes lost and to know the inner turmoil/ thoughts/ feelings in that moment of realization.

Must say, I know the concept of a species like the Flurj isn’t uncommon but this episode in particular made me think to the only Stephanie Meyer book I enjoyed (granted, it might have been the only one I really read) “The Host”.

Looking forward to this story going onward!
